Although we are manufacturer of new Measuring systems but our main focus will be always giving the customer the best value for the money. If the customer has an existing CMM, still in good mechanical shape and the size is enough to cover the customer measuring needs then we will recommend the retrofit of the existing CMM rather than buying new one.
Retrofit or Purchasing New Measuring System? The general rule, if the cost of the retrofit is at least 60% cheaper than the purchase of comparable size new measuring system then the retrofit will make perfect sense.

The second important part of the CMM that get old and obsolete is the controller and needs to be replaced if it is close to 10 years of age.
